End-of-Life Support

I bring deep presence, empathy, curiosity, and creativity to this sacred work, infusing beauty and meaning into the process of dying through ritual and ceremony.

With a strong capacity to hold space for grief and emotionally complex experiences, I focus on helping individuals and their loved ones face death and navigate loss with loving, compassionate support.

I trained and work with The Peaceful Presence Project and am a NEDA-certified End-of-Life Doula.

Services I Offer

  • I can help with non-medical practical support to lessen burdens on the dying person and their caregivers.

This may include: cooking, light housework. gardening, caring for pets, running errands, accompanying clients to doctors appointments, and helping coordinate care.

I am here to make things easier for everyone, minimizing stressors and taking on responsibilities so that caregivers can take breaks, and the dying person is cared for with deep presence.

I can also be present to sit vigil, supporting the dying person and their community.

  • I use therapeutic practices of art, writing, and movement to support clients and caregivers as they face death, dying, and grief.

I am also a trained mediator who can help clients navigate tricky social and familial conflicts that may arise.

I can also help coordinate care and organize community support (Meal Train, Caring Bridge), so that the dying person and their caregiver’s needs are met.

  • I believe that the dying process is a period of sacred transition that should be honored and respected through ritual and ceremony.

I focus on nature-based, non-denominational rituals and ceremonial practices to help people navigate death, dying, grief, and mourning.

  • I work with clients to discuss and create a plan for the dying process that not only meets their physical needs, but also creates space for honoring the sacred.

Together we will write a plan that honors the wishes of the dying person. This may include the look and feel of the space (candles, music, flowers), who may visit and in what capacity, communication during the dying process, as well as whether they may want physical touch.

  • I work with clients to help create a variety of different legacy projects.

These include: designing and creating photo albums, assisted letter writing, transcribing, writing and editing autobiographical stories, making art, and recording audio or video messages. I’m also open to many other possible projects!

I’ve also worked with clients on larger legacy projects including artist residencies and memorial scholarships.

  • I help clients sort through, organize, and pass along the material possessions they’ve collected during their lifetime.

Much of this work is emotional, so I will support you as we come up with a plan to honor the memories and meaning of these objects, as well as a strategy to help downsize in socially and environmentally responsible ways.
